Privacy Policy: How I handle your data

Who we are

Our website address is: https://afashah.com.

I’m a developer, not a data broker. I built this site to share my journey and my logic, not to spy on you. But since this is a real website running on the internet, there are a few things you should know about how your information is handled.

What I Collect

If you’re just reading my blogs, I don’t know who you are. I use Google Analytics to see how many people are visiting (like the spike I just saw in my reports!), what country they are from, and which posts they like. This helps me write better content. It doesn’t tell me your name or your home address.

If you leave a comment or use a contact form, I get your name and email. I only use that to answer you. I don’t sell it, and I don’t put it in some “marketing machine.”

Cookies

This site uses cookies—small files that help the site run faster and tell me if you’ve been here before. It’s part of how the WordPress Core and Analytics work. You can turn them off in your browser if you want; the site will still work because I build clean code that doesn’t rely on tracking you.

Third-Party Services

I use some tools to keep this site fast and secure:

Embedded Content: If I link to a video or a tool, they might have their own cookies. That’s their business, not mine.

Google Analytics: To see my traffic.

Hosting Logs: My server keeps a log of IP addresses to stop hackers from attacking the “Company Core.”

Why I do this

I treasure what I build, and that includes the trust of the people who read my blog. I won’t do anything with your data that I wouldn’t want a developer to do with mine.

Your Rights

If you want me to delete a comment you made or remove your email from my records, just ask. I’m the one running this show, so I can fix it for you manually. No “support tickets” or AI bots needed.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
